Medicinal Chemistry

Overview

Our expert team of scientists in medicinal chemistry work on target oriented drug discovery approach. We are involved in research related to different disease areas specially targeting AMR including viral, bacterial and fungal infections using typical medicinal chemistry tools. Our MedChem program starts with identifying the target and designing of the molecule, in silico screening and modelling, a broad range of synthesis, followed by in vitro screening and identification of hits to- lead to- the optimized lead, and its in vivo validation in appropriate animal models along with full package of in vitro and in vivo pre-formulation studies including pharmacokinetics/dynamics, solubility, stability, permeability, plasma protein binding, safety and toxicity profile and so on, of the identified lead molecule. Moreover, our group of scientists are also working in other disease areas like cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases viz. alzeimer’s and dementia. Much of our work is carried with collaborators from different academic institutes and/or industrial partners.
